Beach and Lots of Pictures

I don't know where my mind was during Mr. Buster Phipps' English class. He was an awesome teacher but I sure didn't think so at the time. He was tough and I was not a writer. Well, I still am not a writer today, but I do have the motivation to journal here. I want to keep these thoughts and memories I have with my family forever.

I am not a planner at all, it is just not in my nature whatsoever. I do admire people who are and wish I could be more of one but I don't see it happening:-) We woke up this morning with little school to do so I thought it would be fun to head out to Seabrook beach for a picnic with Sean. The children were all excited to go run around and explore. Eden loved the sand. She thought it tasted so good. Farah Beth had to go pee pee so bad that she went in her pants, poor thing, there was no bathroom and we were not in swim suits. Josiah sat in a sand spur bush twice. Yes, we think he is a little slow to get things sometimes:-) The other kids just ran and found shells, crabs, and butterflies. I just chased them each down trying to get pictures of our day.

This morning Sean was teaching our children about worship. We always gather together and sing, pray, and read the Bible but do we really worship Him in spirit and in truth? God does not need our worship nor is He begging for it but He sure does deserve it! He is surrounded by thousands of angels who do nothing but sing and worship Him. Do we know how to truly worship our Holy God? He is worthy to be praised!!
After Sean went back to work, we stayed for about another hour. The Lord put it on my heart to gather the children and just start singing praises. I asked them what they wanted to sing to Jesus and after a few Christmas suggestions we agreed on one. I have decided to follow Jesus was sung by a bunch of beautiful little voices. A lady walked up in front of us while we were singing and just stood there looking up into the sky. We kept singing. Then she walked away all so slowly. A soul, lost or saved, I don't know. I need to pray for her. Oh, I pray that God would give me a heart like King David who danced with all of his might before the Lord.

So today is almost over. Have you worshiped our Lord today? He is so worthy of all our praises! I want my children to dance before the Lord and sing praises to Him and not care what others think. David didn't care what his wife thought. Do we?

(2Sa 6:14) And David danced before the LORD with all his might.

(Psa 7:17) I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.
